The Experience You Need To Make Your Best Move.
Although I was born in Florida, growing up I lived in multiple states including Colorado, California and Washington. After graduating high school I made the decision to enlist in the Marine Corps, following in the footsteps of my older brother, father, grandfather, and uncles who also served in the armed forces. After four years of service as an Infantryman, I left the Marine Corps to pursue college in Florida. In November 2001, I was one of many to be summoned back to service by Presidential recall to aid in the defense of our country after the tragic events of 9/11. I would not return to the civilian sector until my retirement 17 years later.
In 2002 I met a beautiful Italian girl from New York who left her extremely tight knit family and friends to begin the challenging adventure of becoming a military spouse. One of the first things we did was purchase a home in Stafford, VA. It was a scary decision at first, but after one of my Marine mentors explained the value of home ownership, we jumped in. This initial investment paved the way to our successful financial future and we were going to need it.
In 2009 while serving on recruiting duty in Shreveport, LA, our daughter joined our family. We then moved to our current residence in Sneads Ferry, NC in 2011. A little over a year later we were blessed with our son. Literally, one half hour after his birth, I kissed my wife, daughter and brand new son goodbye and departed for Afghanistan, leaving my wife all by her lonesome with a 3 year old who wouldn’t go to sleep and a newborn that wouldn’t stay asleep and liked to wake up early. Being a military spouse is one of those tough, thankless duties that most cannot understand. I understand the struggles and difficulties that are organic to military life.
My favorite part of being a Marine was being able to take the lessons and experiences that I learned and pass them on to younger Marines. By joining The Oceanaire Realty, I will still have that opportunity by helping families and individuals navigate through the process of buying a home. The Oceanaire Realty was my first choice. I had heard from friends about Doug Yopp, his budding new firm of close-knit brokers and their diligent work ethic in serving clients. This was something I wanted to be a part of - a brokerage family that works together to build lasting relationships with the families they serve.
My mission is to assist people in finding the success and happiness that I enjoy. I chose a career at The Oceanaire Realty because it allows me to put my family first. It also allows me time to enjoy hunting, fishing, golfing, and coaching youth sports. Most importantly, it continues to give me a sense of fulfillment and pride by helping others become homeowners.
